Welcome to Pastors United

MILESTONES

2012 Organizational Highlights

The summer of 2012 proved to be the right time for inner city clergy in Milwaukee to join our efforts to educate, motivate and agitate members as well as the community to get involved in civic engagement. Pastors and lay people took to the streets to talk about the value of voting, registration and understanding new voting laws. Over 100 churches encouraged members to vote early. We were a part of a huge nonpartisan effort to Get Out the Vote throughout Milwaukee with 15 recruiters and 1200 canvassers in November. The overall outcome of our work with many other nonprofit efforts resulted in historic record-breaking voter turnout among African Americans in Milwaukee, WI.
